POWERRAIL DISTRIBUTION  -  Duryea, PA

  Position:

  CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPPORT (Full-time) 

  Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30AM to 5:00PM

  Job Description:

 The person in this role supports our inside and outside sales team, primarily by entering and updating data in our company database.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Accurately and efficiently enters orders for items to be purchased via website, telephone, fax and e-mail
  • Clarify and fulfill customer requests/needs by presenting available selections of products and services with appropriate pricing and lead times
  • Understand and respond to customer delivery needs by interfacing with internal personnel
  • Prepares and transmits requests for customer quotes
  • Maintains accurate customer information in database according to company procedures
  • Maintains an updated computerized inventory to include price changes, new and deleted items, descriptions and other related data

  Position:

  SENIOR BUYER (Full-time) 

  Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30AM to 5:00PM

  Job Description:

  Reporting to the VP of Purchasing, the Senior Buyer will coordinate vendor activity, negotiations, and analyze trends in vendor pricing and sales activity to determine the correct timing and quantity of purchases. This person is also required to research and identify alternate vendors and/or products that meet the quality standard or certifications of the company and customer. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare and manage RFP/RFQ proposals, purchase agreements, and statements of work
  • Evaluate quotations/proposals to determine recommended vendor sourcing
  • Ensure Approved Vendor List management and compliance
  • Assess material demand to determine procurement requirements
  • Prepare and execute Purchase Orders in compliance with company policy
  • Interface with technical and management personnel regarding possible changes in material, quantity, quality, or delivery schedules that may result in cost savings
  • Monthly review and reporting of commodity/vendor KPI's
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Proactively identify efficiency and/or cost savings opportunities and programs, and work with both vendors and internal teams to drive implementation
  • Take a lead role in driving process improvement and management of obsolescence issues
  • Closely manage system data (pricing, lead times, dates, etc.) to ensure accuracy and monitor orders to ensure vendor commitments and/or expedited needs are fulfilled
  • Work with technical personnel in the design stages, and quoting process
  • Oversee all purchasing activities for the department
  • Expedite material to ensure on-time delivery as required
  • Prepare purchase orders and arrange for blueprints, specifications, material, and tooling to be forwarded to suppliers
  • Assist and train new Buyers in performing purchasing activities

  Qualifications /

  Requirements:

  • US Work Authorization – No Sponsorship Required
  • Five years’ experience in procurement or supply chain in a distribution or manufacturing environment
  • High School Diploma or GED Required - Bachelor's Degree Preferred

  • Data entry
  • Process vendor invoices for payment
  • Process a high volume of invoices and packing slips
  • Enter new vendors into computer system
  • Prepare company checks and prepare for mailing
  • Review monthly statements

  Position:

  DISTRIBUTION CENTER TEAM MEMBER (Full-time and Part-time Positions)

  Hours: Monday - Friday 9AM to 5:30PM  1st Shift = NO Weekends, and NO Mandatory Overtime!

  Job Description:

  Busy warehouse seeks associate for picking/packing and inventory control.  Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Loads, unloads and transfers merchandise to designated area

  • Stocks merchandise in warehouse to include utilizing equipment and lifting and carrying merchandise to place on shelves

  • Inspects merchandise for deficiencies or breakages

  • Prepares inventory for warehouse stock location

  • Organizes merchandise to prepare for shipment

  • Complete customer's orders in a timely fashion

  Requirements: 

  • Computerized inventory system requires basic computer skills

  Job Description:

  PowerRail Industries is seeking a full-time experienced CNC Brake Press Operator for high volume machine shop. 

  Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Set up and operate numerical control machine to shape or form metal workpieces to specifications
  • Determines setup procedure, machining sequence, and dimensions of finished workpiece
  • Knowledge of interchangeable dies, blueprint reading and proper bending sequences.
  • Inspects finished parts for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments.

  PowerRail Industries is seeking a full-time experienced MIG Welder/Metal Fabricator for high volume machine shop. 

  Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units or subunits, following blueprints and layout specifications, and using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools
  • Tack-weld fitted parts together
  • Remove high spots and cut bevels, using hand files, portable grinders, and cutting torches
  • Hammer, chip, and grind workpieces to cut, bend, and straighten metal
  • Smooth workpiece edges

 Cooper Bearings, a PowerRail company, is seeking a full-time experienced Machinist for high volume shop. 

  Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC horizontal and vertical milling centers and CNC lathes from drawings or blueprints
  • Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines using hand tools and precision measuring instruments
  • Check to ensure that work pieces are properly lubricated and cooled during machine operation
  • Transfer commands from servers to computer numerical control (CNC) modules, using computer network links
  Requirements:
  • Familiarity with FANUC, FADAL and/or SIEMANS controllers preferred

  At Cooper Bearings, production assistants fill a vital role while learning a variety of skills applicable to many manufacturing processes.

  Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Break down locomotive wheels into component parts
  • Load parts into automated parts washer
  • Inspect and prepare each component for refurbishing using hand tools, power tools and measurement devices
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Record inspection and maintenance information as directed
  • Assist with keeping Shop safe at all times

  Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in a changeable temperature environment
