  Job Description:
Support outside sales team, primarily by entering and updating data in company database. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  Position:
EXPERIENCED INDUSTRIAL BUYER 
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30AM to 5:00PM
  Job Description:
Currently seeking a highly motivated Buyer to oversee vendor interactions, engage in negotiations, and assess patterns in vendor pricing and sales activities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Assess material demand to determine procurement requirements, prepare and execute Purchase Orders in compliance with Company Policy
  • Accurately enter all requisitions/purchase orders in Company's ERP system on time, submit accurate orders to suppliers, and obtain acknowledgements from suppliers
  • Communicate with suppliers to obtain product and service information including price, availability, and delivery
  • Maintain procurement records on services and goods purchased, costs, delivery, and inventories
  • Monitor vendor performance for quality and delivery
  • Monitor and reduce on-hand inventories and analyze inventory levels
  • Prepare reports for excess and obsolete management
  • Gather quotations, examine bids, review contracts, negotiate pricing and contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority, and makes recommendations for awards

  Position:
IMPORT/EXPORT OPERATIONS & COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST (Full-time)
Hours: Monday - Friday 9AM to 5:30PM
  Job Description:
The Import/Export Operations & Compliance Specialist is responsible for handling day to day operations of inbound and outbound logistics, compliance coordination, communication and negotiation with freight partners, and overseeing the interest of the company by participating and staying on top of available U.S. Customs programs. This person will analyze, create, and execute plans and procedures that support departmental and corporate objectives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Control all import/export traffic and compliance with federal, state, local, or country specific regulations area
  • Process and ensure accuracy of import/export and U.S. Customs documentation
  • Liaise with suppliers, carriers, freight forwarders, customs broker, drayage, 3PL, etc. to ensure consistency with defined import/export process
  • Maintain, track, and analyze import/export shipments, ensuring expected timing is achieved
  • Communicate with responsible party for proactive solutions when problems occur
  • Oversee and find solutions that require special or expedited handling
  • Ensure all import and export duty tariff codes (HTS and Schedule B) are correctly applied to incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Manage customs duty tariff changes on all products and communicate ahead of changes
  • Manage customs and trade compliance issues and report as per compliance standard
  • Analyze customs duty exemptions and free trade agreements to reduce cost of imports and exports
  • Process or review Importer Security Filings (ISF) to ensure compliance with U.S. Customs
  • Prepare statistical data for contract negotiations and participating in contract negotiations with carriers, NOVCC’s, freight forwarders, etc.
  • Assist in process of Duty Drawback claims
  • Stay informed and communicate key changes in international logistics and compliance and provide insights on how to minimize/maximize constructive impact to the company
  Qualifications / 
  Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Global Logistics Management or other related field
  • 2 to 4 years of experience working in International Logistics and Trade Compliance highly preferred
  • Use of Oracle, SAP, or Syteline preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of USMCA a plus
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Duty Drawback program highly preferred
  • Understanding of hazardous materials and dangerous goods as it relates to IATA/DOT/IMDG preferred
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and project management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple activities simultaneously and ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office d
  • 3PL knowledge preferred
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship and enthusiasm to learn all aspects of the warehouse operation

  Job Description:
Product Engineers at PowerRail work directly with the production staff to create and improve locomotive parts for the rail industry. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Create and maintain product part numbers and bill of materials in company database (Infor CSI/Syteline ERP system)
  • Develop detailed parametric models, assemblies, two-dimensional drawings, and renderings using Solidworks CAD software
  • Establish and maintain product design and drawing revisions
  • Review and analyze product specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data affecting component product designs, procedures and instructions to be followed
  • Aid in the identification and implementation of solutions to improve production efficiency
  • Coordinate with other engineers, as well as production, quality, sales, purchasing and marketing staff  
  • Aid in sourcing and verification of new products and prototypes
  • Establish product cost reports
  • Provide technical support to the quality assurance team
  Qualifications /
  Requirements:
  • BS in engineering with preferred discipline in mechanical, design, manufacturing or industrial
  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Proficient in creating parametric models, assemblies and two-dimensional drawings using Solidworks CAD software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as basic understanding of ERP software systems. Infor CSI/Syteline experience a plus
  • Basic knowledge of GD&T

  • Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine material requirements or assembly instructions
  • Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, soldering or micro-welding equipment

  • Position, align, or adjust workpieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly
  • Explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers

  • Drill or tap holes in specified equipment locations to mount control units or to provide openings for elements, wiring, or instruments
  • Fabricate or form parts, coils, or structures according to specifications using drills, calipers, cutters, or saws

  • Inspect or test wiring installations, assemblies, or circuits for resistance factors or for operation, and record results
  • Mark and tag components so that stock inventory can be tracked and identified
  • Measure and adjust voltages to specified values to determine operational accuracy of instruments
  • Complete, review, and maintain production, time, and component waste reports
  • Distribute materials, supplies, or subassemblies to work areas
  • Pack finished assemblies for shipment and transport to storage areas using hoists or hand trucks

  Job Description:

Seeking a full-time Sandblast Technician for our busy locomotive repair shop. We are a fast-growing business and need someone who can grow with us. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Organize and plan the use of blasting equipment and material for various projects
  • Ensure that blasting equipment is properly maintained and in a ready state of operation
  • Prepare surfaces for sandblasting by cleaning and masking, if needed
  • Sandblast, prep and sand locomotive components, chassis, and equipment for painting
  • Examine and measure finished surfaces to ensure conformance to specifications
  • Ensure safety measures are followed at all times
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions
  • Cross-train and perform other duties as assigned
  Qualifications /
  Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to operate a forklift or obtain a forklift license
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time
  • Previous sandblasting experience or training

  Job Description:

Seeking a full-time locomotive mechanic/electrician to work in busy repair shop. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

MECHANIC:

  • Assemble/disassemble parts as directed
  • Qualify mechanical devices in operation
  • Perform modifications as required
  • May assist electricians in performing electrical maintenance duties
  • Diagnosing, repairing and maintaining equipment
  • Analyzing, testing and repairing mechanical systems
  • Inspect components to ensure each part is within specifications
  • Use micrometers, assorted hand, air and/or power tools, and specialized equipment to perform duties
            ELECTRICIAN:
  • Install and maintain wiring, control panels, and other electrical components as needed
  • Test and repair circuit connections
  • Inspect various locomotive parts, and report issues to GM when needed
  • Perform final inspection process to ensure compliance with company standards
  • Regulate and maintain storage batteries
  • Use hand tools and specialized equipment to perform job duties
  • Adheres to appropriate work instructions in the completion of duties
  • Perform daily servicing, cleaning and repairs of machines when required
