PowerRail Growth Creates New Positions & Promotions Within Organization

Cooper Bearings (aka. CBX) of Georgetown, Delaware, an AAR M-1003 certified manufacturer of New and “True Blue™” Unit Exchange Boxes and Bearings, named Kevin Foster to President and Shareholder. Kevin has been with PowerRail since 2005 having previously come from a background in the construction industry. Cooper Bearings has been in business since the early 1960’s and was acquired by PowerRail in October of 2007. Kevin became VP & General Manager of Cooper in August of 2011 and has continued to help expand and grow the company. In March of 2013 CBX moved into their new “greener” facility which is utilizing the latest technology, increasing efficiency and streamlining production lines.


Robert “Bob” Harvilla, recently promoted to Vice President of Sales at PowerRail, has been in the railroad industry for more than 41 years having started his career with General Electric in 1973. 2015 marks an enormous milestone in Bob’s career as he held the role of President for the Locomotive Maintenance Officers Association. Bob has been with the LMOA for over 30 years and has held the positions of Committee Chairman and Regional Executive during his time with the LMOA. When Bob’s not giving his time to PowerRail or the LMOA, he enjoys golf, traveling and spending time with his wife of 38 years, Barb. Bob has two sons, Rob and Ryan, and two grandsons, Max and Griffin.


Mark Nolan came on board with PowerRail in April 2009 as the VP of Sales and has recently been promoted to the title of Executive Vice President of Sales. Prior to PowerRail, Mark worked for GE Transportation and during his tenure there, was chosen as Salesman of the Year in 2007. Having been in the rail industry for 20 years, Mark used his experience to help implement new strategies and ideas resulting in expanded growth for PowerRail. Mark and his wife Jennifer currently reside in the Twin Cities and together have 2 children; Zach and Carson. When not working, Mark enjoys golfing, boating, and various outdoor activities.


Mike Rutkowski has been with PowerRail since March of 2004, and was recently promoted to the title of Assistant Vice President of Sales. Prior to PowerRail, Mike worked for a Precast Concrete Company in S.E. PA, and a Cell Tower Construction Company in Portland, OR. He has now been in the rail industry for 12 years. Mike takes pride in the fact he introduced PowerRail Distribution to the entire Southeast Region of the US as well as the business and personal relationships he’s been able to build with his customers within that time period. Mike and his wife Sarah currently reside in Canton, GA and together have 2 children; Benjamin and Claire. When not working, Mike enjoys spending time with his family and various sporting activities.


Jerry Hudson Celebrates 40yrs. with Cooper

Jerry Hudson, lead welder at Cooper Bearings, recently celebrated his 40th Anniversary with the company. Jerry started at Cooper back in 1975 under different ownership and continued with the company when PowerRail purchased CBX in 2007. Celebrating such a HUGE Milestone, Kevin Foster (recently named President of Cooper Bearings) along with the entire staff showed their appreciation with dinner, cake, gifts and a custom award made from bearing components designed, welded and painted by the team at Cooper. Jerry also received cards from the entire staff at all of the other PowerRail facilities showing much respect and appreciation for the 40 years of dedication that Jerry gave to Cooper Bearings.
